Once more won't be held against you, jhahn1234, but Shopping gets a lot of site suggestions, and there is no guarantee that your suggestion will be needed for that category, nor how long it might be before it's looked at.

An almost polite way of saying nobody is going to review your site ever. So don't bother to submit it. ;)

Of course, as most of them were listed by their owners. Whom happen to be DMOZ editor. :)
The rest, well, nobody knows when they were listed. But that was a long time ago and, as they are abandoned and out-dated, don't represent a real competitors for DMOZ editors.

DMOZ is one of the most famous human maintained directory. As according to its size and traffic, anyone who is submitting his link or website to it has only one thing in mind i.e. getting a quality link which produces natural traffic and have two way reward i.e. both traffic and helps the keywords to rise in SERP's.

most famous because of what ? because of horror stories :)? traffic ? what traffic only traffic what they have it's from webmasters who are trying desperately to '' suggest '' their sites , or when they hunt competitor sites :). If you didn't realize the directory isn't build on keyword basis , and your listings will have anything to do with keywords witch you are targeting .

But you are responding with negativeness only.

Show me one post that you made where you told something like:
You were right, you have very good site and I decided to add it to DMOZ index.

If you can't, then I have an idea.
Why don't you start doing positive things by adding AMRAY to DMOZ?

Both sites have something in common, they both have an acronym in Titles.
Plus, draconian Submission Guidelines and some people even say that its harder to get listed in AMRAY than DMOZ.

So, here is your chance to start doing something positive, so don't blew it.

    :)

Afraid i cant help, i dont have permissions in that category. Suggest the site and at some stage, a volunteer editor may review the suggestion. You should note that no time frame is given.

But i guess you knew this would be my response. :D:D:D

    Man, you cost me $10...
I made bet you will say:
"too unique for our spam infested swamp. It will make editors who added other directories look like bunch of jerks"

BTW, what do you mean by "editor may review"?

Well i'm sure you know but just in case:

Editors can review sites in the suggestion pool or can publish sites from one of numerous other means, such as finding them by themselves, in newspapers, on TV etc. Being volunteers, the editors choose what to edit and when to edit, so no time frame can be given. Any site may be reviewed today, it may be reviewed in 3 years, we simply have no way of knowing when an editor will volunteer to do so.

I trust this answers your question :)

    No, it doesn't
If I say: editor may never review site, would it be accurate assumption?

You we'll just sit down and pray that a concerned editor reviews our site.
