Ever heard of xrumer and parasite hosting?

By taking advantage of google's fresh content boost and authority websites you can rank for many high demand terms in top positions. There has been a recent top ranking of one comment. Yes, I said comment. That comment was hosted on a blogger.com page and linking to a website selling viagra. The term for which that comment ranked 1st on google was "viagra" and "buy viagra", which is a more competitive word than "male enhancement". Problem is however, these rankings don't last because you achieved them with spamming aka. black hat.

 

And my point is there is indeed a link

Just because the OP cannot see the link, or the PageRank Google has given the site .....(which is updated daily for Google employees)

Does not mean there is no PageRank.....

As you kindly pointed out the blogger hosting provides the needed link...



Fresh content boost would and could only be applied to a site Google knows about correct???

How would Google know about the site???? probably a link somewhere eh??



Aiding someone who is posting content that is misinformation does nobody any good....

 

Of course you need backlinks. Without them you couldn't achieve anything like that, but given your comment below, I was thinking you don't believe that such a ranking is achievable at all in 48 hours, which was probably a case of misunderstanding.

Blogger hosting however does not provide a backlink as it is nofollow. But its not the spam page that was ranking high, it was the comment.

Google crawls servers.... and happens to find links on web pages contained there.....

So Blogger does indeed provide a link to the other directories on the server which Google will follow.

The nofollow tag simply tells Google not to assign PR to the link.

And the overall point is that there is indeed PR assigned to each and every site in the organic listings whether or not it is seen in the TOOLBAR.......

 

It does not matter if the bot counts the link or not as it was not the spam site that was ranking, but the comment which was made for REAL SURFERS not bots. That comment contained an advertisement and a link to the website selling viagra. I am fully aware that google stores the no-follow links and crawls them, any argument over this is a simple waste of time.

I believe that you can achieve a top ten result even if you don't have a link, only if there is almost no or very similarly weak competition. But why hope on that. Creating links doesn't bring any disadvantages, only advantages. So everyone would do it.

By the way, many websites that appear on the search engines do have a PR0.But that is just because they did not pour the PR through to that page. Try looking at the homepage for all of those PR0 websites. I bet they are not PR0 in the homepage. It is just the way it works. Type some words and you will see a result from wikipedia, even if the information that page is on is PR0. The main reason it still gets up there is because of wikipedia's homepage high PR.

 

it's really possible to get top 10 rank with little or no backlinks at all. please try it first before saying it wont work.

If ranking high on Google (or any search engine) was so simple, there won't be a need for several SEO and link building activities. Google for one, goes strictly by the number of backlinks and their quality to decide where to rank a page for a keyword. This is in addition to your onsite optimization which is pretty pretty easier and is in your control.

 

With out back link how can you get rank? I can' under stand.
