You don't specify what sort of traffic your sites are recieving. My statscounter click logs have always been accurate, every now and then I get an excess click or two. I can assure most publishers that removing the statscounter code will do little if anything to increase your earnings. Just because one of your sites happened to see a 1000% increase is merely conicidental and an isolated incident. If you are receiving low quality traffic (ie. social networking sites such as Digg, Stumbleupon, etc.) then you are at a higher risk for click fraud. You rarely have this problem with organic traffic. I can confidently say that your traffic sources are likely the culprit to your low earnings, and if you are relying on search traffic, your keywords may be poorly chosen or your site's overall theme may be conflicting and confusing the Adsense bot into delivering irrelevant ads.

Neither can I. It's not as if statcounter blocks the ad units.

Long shot guess, statcounter is holding up the page - slower loading page results in fewer clicks - but then again statcounter doesn't seem to be that slow.

As the OP said, "weird." Could be some kind of coincidence.

OK, this is interesting.....bizarre but very interesting.

I have a PR5 blogger blog that gets about 1500 unique visitors a day and earns an average of $5 a day.
$5 a day has been the norm for the last 6 months, I've been using statcounter for some time too.

I have just removed the counter and will report back tomorrow night and let you know how it went.

I've noticed that Statcounter makes pages load slower but other than that I can't think of anything that could influence Adsense earnings. I'd love to hear everyone's experience with removing Statcounter. :)

I have just deleted statcounter, will report in some days if everything changes. why I believe it? Cause I have 2 websites with the same position in google search ( second position and according to adwords keywords second have even more search per month). words are different of course. on the one without statcounter i have clicks everyday but on the other one with statcounter there are no clicks at all. though both information sites and second one have even much better ad placement.

    Yes, it is very weird.
I have same problem with you. I see my Statcounter tracking Adsense click, but Adsense didn't recognize it as valid click.
After read this thread, I remove my Statcounter code. I want to know whether your experience could work for me.

That's what you should do if you want to experiment and try to establish a causal link between having the counter and decrease in earnings. Otherwise you'll only have a belief that the counter was causing low earnings but that's not serious experience enough, it could be a coincidence.

But I never used this counter, so removing it forever is no problem, just don't think it was the cause without doing more testing.

Very interesting but I highly doubt having Statscounter decrease your Adsense earnings...

The discussion seems to be interesting but I doubt the results.
Is it verified by any other person?

I have been using Statcounter on all of my sites for years, removing it now to see if I have similar results.

    Sorry for quoting myself.....

It hasn't been 24 hours yet, but I think using my site as an example for removing statcounter has given me enough time to pass judgment on this, my site receives 80% of its traffic by mid afternoon anyway.

.....everything is exactly the same, no change what so ever, earnings are pretty much the same, traffic the same and the site loads at the same speed.

conclusion, this is absolute nonsense to believe that removing statcounter will increase your earnings by 1000% in 24 hours!

Moving on the next ridiculous claim :)

Nop, I removed statcounter code for more than 24 hours now and it's the same results.. same clicks, traffic and earning! It's just a coincidence!

It was only a test, folks.

This thread is what it is. I thought I would share with you guys something
that may have been groundbreaking. To go on and trash someone that is
is trying to help really makes them think twice before posting claims, tips,
    and advice.

Since I have removed Statcounter, my earnings have increased. However,
there is another reason to why my earnings may have increased. But should
I feel the need to share my tips?

You have to remember that even though Statcounter may not have been the
reason to my increase in earnings, MY EARNINGS STILL DID INCREASE
    ... Are
you not curious to why this has happened? I mean, 1000% is a pretty good number...

For those of you that understand that my claim may not have turned out to be true, but
still gave it a chance and said, "Well, that's too bad that it didn't work, but thank
you for your test," I greatly appreciate your thanks. For those of you that are
here to be an "internet thug," don't you have something better to do?

And we all wonder why we don't get the BEST possible information in this forum... There's
too many people that are being bashed for trying.

For those of you that are thankful and do want to know how I increased my earnings 1000%,
feel free to check out my up and coming video on Youtube. I'll be sure to post a link in this forum.

The Tips in this Video (which I will make tonight) Will Increase your Earnings! I PROMISE!!!

This is the thought that popped up in my mind as well. I;ve seen Urchin/ Google Analytics scripts fail to load and this holds up other scripts on the page.

    It's rather annoying.
