    This Thread is all about Celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi a Hindus famous festival . In which Lord Ganesh Idol's are made of mud or Paster of paris and placed in grounds, streets etc....... after 11 days these idols will be dipped into water .

    Yes it is a major festival in Maharashtra and correction idols are immersed not dipped at the end of festival ;)

    Ganesh Chaturthi is very popular festival of India. And most popular in mumbai . There are so many Indian movies in which we see about this festival. one of them is "Don". Shahrukh Khan starer movie.
