Suggestion Install mod to prevent thread bumping

    1. Thread bumping annoys a lot of people.
    2. Being banned for thread bumping annoys a lot of other people.
    3. Banning all those people uses a lot of moderator time.
    My suggestion is this: Install the Prevent Doubleposting mod to automatically reduce thread bumping.

    Yes, it doesn't completely eliminate thread bumping, but it's an easy way to reduce thread bumping and that alone is a desirable improvement.

    You have given a very good suggestion, but it should be like that, same user should not be able to post twice on the same day, for the changes, it can edit the post.

    I would never ban bumping on any of my forums, it stops the flow of the forum.

    If someone replied to my thread and it never got bumped, I wouldn't see it again.

    Just wondering, if vB 4.0 has a different default theme, which one would shawn keep?

    btw, Will.Spencer, sometimes we DO have to double post. Like if we post "Not accepting any orders right now, too many already, check back later" and then after 2 or 3 days we need work again and we wanna post "Open to orders again" (i'm pretty much sure this allowed) what'll we do?

    Anti-bumping mods have a time setting.

    If you bump within that time setting, your new post is simply auto-merged with your old post.

    If you bump after the defined period of time (usually 24-48 hours), your reply is left as a new post.
