Marriage is one of great thing if you love your spouse otherwise it's not less than hell.

 

tell your dad that you will only marry a girl that looks exactly same as you look then your father will be in trouble finding that girl...

and marriage not necessary! totally up to us!

 

Don't get married if you are not really ready for it.........It's a lifetime commitment,I'm not telling you to disobey them,just make sure you're happy in what you are doing.

 

If you explained to your father that you had not found "the one" yet, would he understand? I can't imagine going into a marriage not sure that you truly loved the person and were just doing it to please your father.

Well, I wouldn't get married if I were you, & of course it's not compulsory. Marriage is supposed to be about love, if you're not in love with anyone enough to marry them, then you should not get married. It's only going to be a huge mistake that you'll regret for the rest of your life (most likely), so don't allow anyone to pressure you into doing something as final as that.

Why would you get married for the sake of it? That's planning to get divorced!

 

Marriage is an overrated and archaic tradition.

Polygamy is a basic and honest desire of the human condition, especially since we are living much longer these days.
We no longer need a "partner" to help raise the kids and work the land so why would anyone choose to chain themselves to one person?
It is very possible to live a happy, healthy and fulfilled life with several partners or no partners at all.

Make the choice that's right for you and don't worry about anyone else.

 

Many people around urge me to get married but I'm not willing to do so yet.

 

I think the basic reason is that you have not met the guy you are willing to share your life with yet. Come on! And if you are normal, you'll change your idea about marriage.

 

I don't think marriage is for everyone and its pretty much wrong for someone to pressure you into getting married.

 

Its better than being alone pal....Just find someone you can put up with through the years. Unless you're the kind or person that stays busy 24 hrs a day, being alone all the time really sucks.

For me, marriage is not compulsory, but it is necessary.
When you meet the right person, you shall get marry

 

I think that marriage is a great thing for the stability of society, and it gives kids a secure environment so they can grow up psychologically healthy. (Well, that's what the intention is anyway. And it does achieve that in a lot of cases, even if the husband and wife aren't that happy in the union.)

That said, I don't think that humans are naturally "built" for marriage. They have to really sacrifice a lot in order to make it work.
