thanks for the new entries. Here is my feedback for the same.

@gipanuhotko: nice color scheme but the crosshair is blocking the text affecting the readability. also i'm going for something more subtle. but good thinking overall.. thanks for the entry.

@V06-TECH: that's the maximum time the contest will remain open. i may close this contest sooner if i find the winning logo earlier but in that case i will announce the closing a few hours in advance so that any designers working on anything will have a chance to submit their entries too.

@Devan_007: i think it needs to be more readable in the first one.. also the graphics in all entries doesn't seem to have any connection with vertical search or any of the site theme. but i am grateful for your time and thanks for participating.

@renderwork: i like it.. the logo looks nice but i still need it to be connected to the site's theme in some way (even if it's subtle) to help create branding. good color scheme and overall look though.. thanks.

@sizzling-space: it's very simple and needs more work. thanks.

@flagged: color scheme is good but the graphics don't have any relevance to the site's theme. thanks for the entry.

@huzi: looks good overall but it has more of a classic and i'm more after a modern web 2.0 look. Also needs some connection with vertical or search if possible. thanks for participating.

@LogoPepper: very nice i like what you have done with the "V" and "S".. has a strong branding, and a nice color scheme. thanks!

@Naavix: it looks good but this logo is more suited for a site like Yahoo answers because to me the ring looks like a thought bubble and also the letter "Q". I'm not sure if i can use it but this is definitely very creative. thanks

@scorpionagency: you are right that this does have a very professional corporate feel. but this has some readability issues on the name. plus i'm hoping to go for something a little more mordern like the logos in my second post. but overall this is really pro work. thank you.

@mitcharr: thanks for the update. the last logo looks the best in all three.

@IM3D: good creative thinking with the "V" and "S" but there is some disconnect between the graphic and the text. but it's a good entry. thanks.

the new entries are appreciated! here is more feedback for it:

@crowquill: i know you're an ace designer having won a lot of my earlier contents. The color scheme is spot on and readability is good. The only problem is that this design is missing a strong branding component. The mouse is little bit complex graphic. I'm looking for simple graphic, someway related to vertical or search which people will remember. But good entry as always!

@gipanuhotko: the font needs to be more readable. Also there has to be some connection of the graphic and text, or graphic or site's theme. Thanks for the entry.

@hugoboy: I like your concept but the drawing needs more work. There is definitely some creativity here. thanks.

@witcher: As i said to another designer in feedback here, the magnifying glass for a search site is a bit common and may not carry a strong branding element as some other graphic. Like the colors though. thanks for the entry.

@scorpionagency: definitely much more readable and better from your last entry. the only issue i see is that the graphic add a more of a horizontal element than a vertical search. But maybe i'm thinking too much into it, but overall i like it. thanks for the update.

@capassity: it's creative but being too artistic it has the same readability problems. also i like a small graphic element in the logo to create a better branding. thanks for the entry

anyway, so far i have found two logos that i think are a good match for what i had in mind. I will keep this contest open for one more day (sorry for closing it early but i'm giving advance notice) to see if anyone can top that.
