My website went from page 1 to page 12

Normally in Google, my website is on the first page for the words "tips tricks tweaks". I checked this morning and its on page 12 for the same keywords.

What the ... happened?

 

Mine went from second spot to 10th spot to 40th spot and then disappeared and then reappeared back in 2nd spot and then suddenly 1st spot!

 

how old is your site ?
Did you change recently things on your site ?
Did you do a lot of backlinking last days/weeks ?

 

You don't have to bothered about this as this is a google dance and it is common.

Well i made my first post on 11/07/09 so about 40 days old.

I post something new every 2 days

Erm, I do about 8-10 backlinks per week....

 

Right. Your site may go up or down in the SERP but will settle down in a week's time and then you check where you stand and decide what to do to improve it.

 

for some reason, google lists all new sites really high for a short time, then they drop like a rock and you have to work your ass off to get back there. Nobody really knows why this is.

 

I totally agree with what has been said. Google plays a very interesting game with everyone and gives them the opportunity to get some traffic and then *poof* you are gone for a bit. I noticed though when you come back you are back for good and do pretty well. So do not worry and just keep working.

 

i think you should not worry about this my blog ranking also dropped for few days but settled now

 

It's kinda cruel, giving you a high rank and then dropping you..

 

This is very common. Continue building quality backlinks to your site and it will pop up again towards to the top of the SERPS.

I had the same problem ; I don't knew what to do . I am trying to fix my rank lose , and still can't figure what happened .

How long it take for Google to re-rank my site.

 

you building too many backlinks raises eyebrow of GOOGLE, so go slowly and steadily...
as your website is very young ,the phenomenon is normal

I am facing the same problem with my site. So do not worry about that .

 

Don't worry this is known as google dance but be sure that what ever changes u are doing are not to fast mean to say link building

 

What you mean so fast . for example what will happen , if i bought a link from other site , i mean i gave someone (webmasters ) money to put my link in his ads parts for link ( for back linking to me ) . What this will cause !!

 

the worst you can do is
- buy much links
- close much of bought links
wait until SERP position become stable, and then take a look at the situation.

 

What you mean by much . !!! How many pages ... 20000 page from one site for example .
What will happen if you put your link on footer of related sites .
