Do you think I can reach my goal by November?

So I have a new found goal. I wonder if I can get my site on the first page of Google by November for I leave for the Army November 9th. I managed to get my site PR1 within two weeks of it being up about a week ago.

What are some of your thoughts? Do think I can do it?

 

sure its do able but your going to have to work hard depending upon on competitive that market is. Do some articles and forum posting for links. All else fails build link wheels and xrummer

No serious now. It all depends on the keywords and how big the competition is for those keywords.

 

It depends on how competitive yours keywords are,. Google changes their algorithm as frequent as every day and no one knows on when will are keywords ranks. But given a proper combination of on and off-page optimization, then there is a great chance on leading the higher spot

 

Lol, yeah, it all depends on how competitive your niche is. I say it's possible though. I had the goal of reaching page one for a keyword this month, and I have.

You have an seo site, I am sure you must have the skills to do this task, i set myself goals and work long hours to get them done.

Yes, I agree, it definitely depends on your level of competition and what keywords you are ranking for. I myself use Market Samurai for ALL of my keyword research, domain buying tactics, and determining my levels of competition as they are the most important in the world we live in.

It depends on a lot of factors but it can be one although the hard truth of the matter is that there are many keywords out there that you can not get to the first page of google for them in one month. For long tail keywords you can definitely do this and if the competition is not that big you can even do it from some keywords

 

Tough call. Nobody really knows how long it would take to get to number 1. Keyword competition is a big factor. Make sure the title of your page has the exact keyword you want to rank for, make sure you're descritption has those keywords in there as well. And the links you leave in forums , blogs etc, make sure they have your keywords and you'll get closer to your goal. Patience

Haha yeah I'd say. You guys are all right though about everything. Honestly in my time of practicing SEO, it just takes daily work, research and patience. I got 2 and a half months to achieve this goal, then I am off to the Army.

So what I am going to do is hold a contest to raffle the site off. How does that sound? I am not going to be able to run it and I am not worried about making money off of it for I will be gone a few years and I am getting a nice bonus anyways.

I think anything is possible in a month or two. It all depends on how much time and effort you put into it.

Just do what everyone in this forum says. Basically look at any thread and your set.

 

Of course, it's possible. But SEO ideally should be a continuous process. Competition is tough. If you stop along the way, someone is going to outrank you.
