paypal : Advantages of Personal Account?

    Eversince Paypal started to charge for personal accounts to receive money, Is there any advantage of sticking with the "Personal Accounts" rather than jumping to the "Premier Account" ?

    I guess that Premier accounts also have this Personal payments ( gift , owe, stuff ) where paypal tax is not charged.

    and Personal accounts suffer many limitations as everyone knows.
    > No Credit Card payments, Paypal buttons, No Invoice, No recurring payments.

    SO give me that good reason why someone must stick to his PERSONAL account anymore / Reason Not to upgrade to Premier

    In personal account there is no fee for accepting paypal to paypal fund. But premier and business account have some fee.

    Not always.. domestic paypal-paypal transactions are free. cross-border are charged now.

    I have never been charged for accepting paypal fund in my personal paypal account from any country user.

    Its better to have Premier account ! :)
    There's not benefit in Personal accounts now !

    In my opinion,There is no need to have premier acocunt if you have a premier acocunt..
    Because both need fees to receive the money

    Have you checked this now ?

    If your sender send you PP funds using option 'Gift' then only no charge applicable to you otherwise you need to pay fees evenif you have personal paypal account.

    It might look you received the full payment, click on the details and you will see the paypal fees and your net payment.

    lets say someone pays you USD10 ( apart from gift / personal payments)
    Amount received: $10.00 USD
    Fee amount: -$0.69 USD
    Net amount: $9.31 USD

    This is exact charge on a personal account.

    One of the advantage of personal account is that it has more lower fees but it has loads of disadvantages too and it is also hard to withdraw money using personal account . But what I like about personal account is that it has lower fees but not much compared to using premier account

    Nope ,I always send the money from premier to personal,Then withdraw all the money to my bank account...
    There is no problem..:)

    lower fees : NO ( you pay more on a personal than premier than business )
    withdrawal : personal can withdraw as long as you are verified

    well.. I guess that is the point of PP guys.. use a personal account only for personal reasons:) like gifting or rent sharing or such stuff... do business using the premium / business acct...
    I guess too many ppl using personal acct for their business purposes must have triggered this ....
