I'm buying a website (good potential)- need partners

    Hi,

I'm buying www.businessmanworld.com. I think it's a good investment, because I believe it has good growth potential and can be really a way to make some $$$.

The site concept is generate money through advertising + memberships and redistributing about 60% for its members. So, you can get a 40% profit margin. But not every members will earn from it. Just those who contribute to the website with quality content or, at least those who can generate some traffic towards the site.

The seller will sell to me for $350 including all the website content, the database with more than 150 users, 2 years of hosting and 1 year of domain.

I'm searching for partners, who want to try this opportunity, sharing expenses and profits. Your share will be determined by your investment. (example: If you want to invest $20, you will own 20/350 of the website= 5,7%- if we get about $200 month, you will get $11,4 month). I would like to have a considerable amount of partners, because then we will be able to have much more ideas and make much more improvements.

PM me or reply to this thread but just if you have serious goals. I want to build a great team!

Very small investments, way to small to even consider profitable.

Agreed, also why don't you just buy it yourself that way you get all the profits?

Most people ask for investments when they are starting projects that are like $50,000 or more, not $350.

I wouldn't buy this site...the content would be a total redo. Just read through some of the posts...it's hard to read because the grammar is so terrible.

I like the concept, but IMO the site needs a totally new design with less advertisements. Not worth $350 to me.

OK, thanks for your opinions. Certainly we will change some things now on the website, we will turn it much more profitable. And you can invest more than $20. That amount was only an example. Also if we can gather let's say $750, we can make some investments on ads and online marketing.

At this time we just need more $120 to reach the $350 goal. I have a feeling that we will be making something out of this!:)

If you want to make "something" out of it you will need more than that for advertising.

It does have potential, in the idea (the domain isn't great, the site is bad etc.)

But, if you got 10k+ from a proper investor, or used your own money - got a completely custom script and site made, that was very good and worked well - then spent a lot on advertising then it could be big.

The idea is good, nothing else about it is (to be blunt).

The only asset I can see is the domain name, otherwise im sorry to say the site doesn't look like it offers any potential the way it is.

OK, but we will improve things. Look this as a new management team taking care of the website. We will maintain the best things and improve all the others.

And I think that it does have potential. And I'm not being stubborn.:)

Again sorry to be blunt, but very few others think that - you may as well purchase it on your own.

If you're looking low scale, you really don't know the business world (in a respectful manner). Real investors only want to invest $50,000+ at least, because they know that money will go to building the business huge easily, and if the business plan is good, they will make at least 10% of their investments.

Like all seed investors say, "If you have a excellent business plan and your company has 1% of becoming successful - Investors will still be very interested". Take that into mind, and make your business limitless, that's how companies like LinkedIn and ShareThis have become successful.

However, regardless of anyone's comments, I would like to wish you the best of luck with your business.

Thank you for your comment. We are now ready to go. Perhaps I or other partner can give here some comments about this business (if permitted by the DP rules). We have good ideas and great hope that this can be an interesting business. And this business will be sustainable and profitable for all. At least that is what Excel is showing us!!!
