About 1 year ago my adsense earnings were amazing, I was making $700+ a month from one website alone (ecards niche). Now my earnings dropped to just a few hundreds from all the websites in total, and even though I took them off from "quality" sites, I still make a lot less in comparison to the past. My secret for good earnings back then was that I ranked very high in SE for my keywords, I used to be on the first page for keywords "free ecards", which is: non-webmasters traffic, better CTR relevant traffic from Google, people came looking exactly for what they found optimizing the ads exactly in according to Google Heat map, making sure the ads are the first thing people see. Later on my site was penalized and I lost the good google SERP, consequently earnings went downhills drastically. Does anyone here make good (over 1k) profit from Adsense these days? What do you do?
There are a lot of people on DP who make over a $1000 a day on adsense alone. Explore niches you have a genuine interest in. Do keyword research to determine if the niche receives enough traffic to be profitable. Don't be an idiot and target niches that you will never rank in the top 10 for (i.e. mortgages, loans, viagra). Forget about those high paying and outdated keyword lists floating around - everyone else has seen them and the niche is probably over saturated. The net does not need another mesothelioma site. Also understand that those high paying click prices are for ads that run directly on google or their network partners - not adsense sites. Research the top ten results in google to determine if you have a reasonable chance to get into the top 10 - because if you can't get into the top 10, it's a waste of time. Can you make a site that will be better than at least 8 of the top ten results? - and when I say better, I mean from the end user standpoint. Design is important, but content is still king. Don't be in a rush. Figure it will be at least 6 months, perhaps a year, before you will start making any kind of real money. Don't rush out and get a ton of links the first week your site launches, give it time and build links in a consistent, natural looking way. Do not plaster adsense or other ads on your site from day one. Get the traffic first. I've waited a couple of years before monetizing some sites. People will link to a site that doesn't scream "site made to make money". Use google analytics to gauge effectiveness. A 75% bounce rate is telling you something. Tweak and retweak your site and constantly improve it. Build it and they will come - usually isn't true. You need to market your site, but a great site will save you a lot of time and effort.

I average about $200 adsense month and growing. This from +- 6 websites. But make +- $3000 a month from a quality product. I find having a quality product pays more than any affiliate program. So my advise, Come up with a good niche and build a good product and give quality service.
yes ur right hydrojohn. first we must think at what time period should we reach 1000$ but befor that try to reach ur first target 100$

Yeah made more than $2K a month. My secrets? Keep learning on how to increase my adsense earning. Trial and error and discover an effective way to increase income from Adsense.
I am making about 5000 $ / Month from AdSense, and I suggest to all adsensors select niche you like and work hard, add regularly fresh contents, apply max seo then be patience and wait to see good result.

Content is king and if there is no quick way to make a buck it takes a long time to develop a site and make good money from it but as long as the site is something you enjoy and your users will benefit from then you are half way there.

My posts are published in August and I haven't optimized them yet ! But this is just my newest project. On other blogs I had better results. I agree you must like what your site is about for me i made my site not thinking i would make a dime with adsense but two months later it was booming you injoy the nich your site is about then it does not feel like work. and before you know it you hit that $1000 mark and just say wow

You can earn $1,000 and even more if you have LOTS of adsense websites. That's quite easy to achieve. Btw, do not put all eggs into one basket. Put some CPA offers here and there, get more income
