The only traffic that seems to convert into ad clickers comes from the search engines. Concentrate on that and see if it helps.

I would look at other options such as CPM or banner ads.

I found Google paid me well for the clicks I sent (USA, targeted) but that I wasn't getting many so I switched to selling 125 x 125 ad spots. By some rough calculations you are earning around $100+ a month which isn't bad.

If you clean up your site and are posting legit content I would get approved over at buysellads.com and use them. Advertisers pay very well over there if you have good content and traffic. You can use BSA alongside Google Ads.

3000 visitors per day is a high number. But the earning is low. Try this. Remove the subcribe to form to other area in your blog, maybe in the bottom. Make sure the adsense ads is positioned exactly under the title. and Put an adsense ads at the end of your blog post too! Filter low paying ads on daily basis.
