Yahoo over Google!

I understand that Google is the most popular search engine in the world but there are people who uses Yahoo as well. Just wondering what are the reasons of using Yahoo! What are the features that you like most in Yahoo?

I like the link command of Yahoo most for example - http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=sfp&p=link:http://www.webmastertalk.in . It it most accurate than Google. Google's link command is broken and never gives you the accurate picture.

What's your reasons for using Yahoo

Is this the reason why you use Yahoo instead of Google

I don't think that Alexa ranking has any values... it can be manipulated very easily and if product can be compromized so easily than it cannot be trusted.

IT is only ranked better in Alexa, not for its search facilities.. but instead for its, Yahoo Games, Mail, Auctions, And other user friendly services that Google at the moment does not provide, weather, movies... etc...

Google believe it or not is still number 1 for search. Standing at a good 40%+....

But not long from now, if google does not improve its search facilities, Yahoo will be the most user friendly SE and the percentage will shift again..

    that s my 2 pence.

Yep. I do agree with you to some extent.

Google SERPs are now not accurate as they used to be so they must work hard to improve their search engine credibility... else they will start loosing the faith.

I find Yahoo delivers better B2B results than Google. Google's inbuilt preference for .org, .ac and .edu sites mitigates against many commercial websites in the B2B arena.

Many times i've found Yahoo to generate more relevant results. There are a few interesting comparisons of the two of them also on the web with anonymous comparison surveys. Yahoo seems to re-index more frequently but they are both in the advertising game so sometimes you get crap no matter what.

acatually google is the 3rd in alexa. There is no doubt that google is the #1 engine, but yahoo and msn get more traffic because it has a lot more stuff than google, google is just a search engine.

I do use google and yahoo about 50% each because I feel google results are biased, they favor official sites and big sites, thats why its hardest to rank well in google. so somtimes yahoo works better

never will I use msn, complete garbage
