Google values domains over subdomains?

    A bit of help, I'm curious as to if Google will uhh... give priority to a .com website over, let's say, a .blogspot.com website? Assuming that they were both well optimized and had a good amount of backlinks etc.

    they give more to .com since everyone already has a blogspot domain anyways

    .blogspot or .com, the difference it can effect is very minimal. SERP ranking involves more to quality dofollow backlinks.

    For example, try to search google.com for "make money online" and you will see top 3 search results will be from .blogspot blogs. This keyword is very highly competitive and even JohnChow is fighting to get top 10 results for that keyword. This blogspot blogs can even beat up a super blog like John Chow to rank better in SERP ranking.
