DP signature can raise PR from 0 to 1 according to my experience.

 

eave one or two PR3 ones, go on finding ten PR5 link exchange partners!!

when your site is pr 0 or 1, It is not easy that exchange links with pr5 site

Nice tips, yes quality of back links is helps to increase "PR".

 

My site is 15 days old only and is already PR2.

 

Buy a domain and install wordpress. Post interesting unique content and submit it to 30 SN like a digg, mixx, propeller… every day within a month. After 1 PR update I guarantee You that You will get PR2 or higher.

To have the PR of your website increase from 0 to 1 or 2..you have to build some high PR links.

Which is having your back links on pages having PR (can be 1 to 7).

My site just hit PR1 today and it has been up for about 2 weeks now.

 

My recommendation is to always go for quality over quantity. It may be easy to get a lot of backlinks to your site from random link exchanges, but bear in mind Google's stated link exchange policy:

Any use of "excessive" link exchange practices can actually hurt your site rather than help it (and the definition of "excessive" is left ambiguous, therefore it's up to Google to decide). Something like this may have actually affected this site and dropped it back to 0 after PR5 if it was hit for that.

Of course you could also simply try to build up your links the popular way and do link exchanges like this, but it's up to you if you want to take the risk. And after all, in the end, what's the point of getting a high PR if people don't really want to link to your site in the first place?
