Amazon earnings

I want to start build site with amazon program, but ... if product only cost 20$... It is cost-effective ? Product will cost 20$, how much I will earning ?

My next question is, better build own blog or astore ?

How to build shop ? I'll must add manually all products, here is example: www.kitchenandhousewares.us

How many average people click on affiliate link ? How many average % buy product ?

 

The good thing about Amazon is that you get paid for everything the person
buys after they click-through for your site. For example, they can buy the
$20 item and $500 in additional items. You will be paid on the $520 purchase.
Amazon's website is setup to up-sell, so multiple sales per customer is not
uncommon.

The hard part is getting people to checkout during their first visit after clicking on your link. If they click on the link to only check out the item, exit their browser, and come back even a second later you don't get paid.

It's pretty cool to be able to insert Amazon.com links in your articles and have a chance to make money though.

 

Yea with a one day cookie its hard. The benefit of Amazon affiliate program is the up sell in the cart, I mean I have people who came in for a blender end up buying a tv. Good Luck..

 

My 'items sold' to 'clicks' averages out to about 4.5% (conversions). So, 100 clicks, 4-5 items sold.

I would say about 100 clicks is also about $6-$7, 1000 clicks, $60-$70.

Also, from the visits to my site versus clicks to Amazon, I would say about one quarter.

So, 100 visitors to my Store website = 25 Clicks to Amazon = About a little more than 1 Items sold = About $1.60 Earnings.

This could be a lot more or a lot less depending on the site. If it is just a small ad on the side of a blog, there might be 1 click per 1,000 visitors or if it is a store, there could be 3 clicks out of 5 visitors.

I've heard people claiming they get over a 50% conversion rate... Over 1 item for every 2 clicks. The user is probably ready to check out when they click, however.

 

Amazon earnings for my site Hell Horror have been low lately. Conversions could be better but unsure how to optimize better without looking too much like a classifieds section LOL

It all depends on what you can do. And Amazon has a very short cookie and if they don't buy from you right away it's likely they won't. Because as soon as they buy anything from Amazon .... the direct email campaigns are relentless. So you are out of mind out of site and Amazon has their lead and they just go direct.

Amazon's affiliate program makes them a ton of money because they hardly ever have to pay anything for leads.

 

Becareful about the trademark domains. KitchenAid is a brand.

If they are not happy, the can take legal action on you.

A friend of mine has recently been sued for $1,300 fine on a trademark domain selling stuff for amazon.com

Most people who buy will do so within 24 hours, so that`s not usually a major issue.

4% of a lot of sales is better than 10% of a few sales.

Amazon is one of the leading online stores. People have confidence in them.

Affiliates will normally sell way more via Amazon than other affiliate programs.
