Google is not ready or powerful enough to fight with Microsoft

Now a days too many people is talking about google kicking microsoft out of the market by starting there own operating system. But i think it would be very very hard to become the giant killer.

there is some problem google will face..............

    1. Most of the computer user is now using Microsoft. Google have to
manually change all of the operating system. will u change u'r
computer to a new and unknown system, that maybe a new type of
operating system (that u have to learn all over again) or shadow of
    Microsoft.

    2. I think in business market The infrastructure of Microsoft is stronger
than Google. becoz Microsoft is now all over the world, They are the
partner of the hardware giants. Google have to re-contact with all
hardware company. Do u think it will be easy........ ?

    3. Now Google is feeling insecure in search engine market. Coz too many Search is trying to bite Google. How long they can buy
new idea and new company. Someday Some other Search engine will pop-up with a new idea of search. This is why Google is
planning to grab the os market. coz its a stable market...................... but Designing a Next generation OS is not like Updating a
very very big Search database and doing fast search............ its just creativity... can Google afford it.........?????????

    Hard to say...........

There is so many strong point that indicate that it will be very very hard to become Microsoft even for Google.....

That's still not the time. Google still far behind from Microsoft in OS, just as microsoft is far behind from google in search engine market

Like you say, in terms of desktop OSes Google doesn't have ahope of beating Microsoft. In the search engine market, Microsoft and Bing do have a chance of beating Google. Google should be worried.

You forget that the Google Chrome OS is not being designed for desktops but more specifically netbooks. Netbooks are on the rise. Perfect time for google to release their OS since all you need to do on netbooks is browing and typing. Simplicity where google excels at.

Exactly. And when users first familiarize themselves with the os on those, google will start pushing more towards OS on PCs.

Exactly plus look at Chrome, Google has been pushing advertising for it on the most trafficed sites on the planet (Google homepage, Youtube etc) plus on TV etc and it's struggled to make any considerable gains. The Google OS won't be much different.

The smart people are starting to get concerned about their privacy, and how much personal information Google is gathering. Personally i couldn't think of anything worse than Google getting it's hooks in to my OS.

    No thanks.

Google may not be able to compete with OS, but I don't think it'd fail horridly. Google is still the top search engine.

Even if Google can't beat Microsoft in the Operating System Market, I'm sure they'll make a decent attempt at it.

At the moment, Google is a very popular company because of their internet success. I wouldn't put Google down just yet ;)

Agree on this one, Google already have all my personal information, credit cards and even my cell phone !!!

Am not going to give them access to my files as well :)

Google is more powerful overall and has a lock on the Internet. Microsoft, however, has a lock on the OS and browser market for the next 5 years - at least.
