    Has anyone checked if links can be pasted into Youtube comments, and if so, if they are follow or no-follow? And what about other video sharing sites?

    The link from youtube is nofollow. All you can expect from youtube is traffic.

    I have not tried yet. But I suppose you cannot place links in youtube comment. I saw some one doing as www dot example dot com.... Hope this clears...

    Links from You tube are no follow.They basically helps you to gain traffic.
    Same with other video sharing sites.You say why these sites want to get spammed by people on offering do follow back links .
    Hence they are also no follow.

    The only links on youtube that a "dofollow" are on your youtube channel. The rest of the links are nofollow.

    YouTube is a good source of backlinks. Just add your link to poll description. It will get you visits, depending on how good your video is and if you used the right tags.
