Ok, I need help. I got ill for the last week or so (damn swine flu) and when I came back one of my sites went completely no follow. ALl of it - the wordpress blog site and the SMF forum site. Only the one site though. http://chaoticmasters.com So I backed it all up this evening and took everything down, deleted the hosting and then started it again, reinstalled wordpress and checked. But it was still no follow. Now thats no good to me. What use is a forum if every link, including thread titles, are no follow? Or internal site links? Every single link is no follow. Why is this? what script needs changing and why, despite having literally deleted everything and only the domain name and DNS settings being the ame has it stayed liek this? Anyone able to give any advice at all?
So, I guess you fixed it. There are no rel attributes at all that I could find on any link. cheers, gary
Not unless there is a problem with my SEO for Firefox tool which is still telling me that everything on http://chaoticmasters is no follow (and it seems to be working for all my other pages)
You can try this plugin for wordpress , it will make url in comment become dofollow. Simple install and active. Done http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sem-dofollow/
Thanks but it is the rest that is the main problem - the comments are a side thing, its all the internal linking that makes having the site next to useless if they are nofollow Also tried the meta-robots plugin or whatever it is but that was no help either.
Fixed it thanks to some help on another blog. apparently the wordpress privacy default settings (which I didnt know were there) have gone from dofollow to nofollow, so you simply have to click into the privacy section and change which option you want.
