couldn't agree more! bottom end spam sites come up to the top top end spam
sites drop to the bottom :D As google evolves it's filtering algorithms (probably
coded from the feedback in their index spam reporting system) new spam sites
seem to find methods to rank on top. Granted that hypertext search engines
like google are consistence with their search results they are still vulnerable.

Spam sites/bot sites can acquire links to their pages and inflate the page rankings
for top 10 results. Some of these sites offer friendly presentation and link bait
    techniques which helps this.

www2.sandbox.google.com/ keyword="astronomy facts" check the seventh result [absoluteastronomy.com] this site bots wikipedia's content then slaps ads onto
the pages, don't let the smooth navigation and site presentation fool you this is a
wikispam bot site for adsense. This is the very reason I gave up writing wiki entries
not to mention the hours and discipline it takes to write and edit a topic there.

half million wikified indexed pages and although wikipedia's content is gnu licensed
the knowledge provided is for educational reasons and not commercial gains. If
google 2.0 (google caffeine) is to succeed with a zero spam index then it may need
to reevaluate it's content cloning algorithms. Sites like absoluteastronomy.com do
not add anything original for the internet just slip under the google radar with content
    spam for adsense.

    example:
google theme logo for today is about one of the forefathers of electromagnetism,
    Hans Christian Ørsted

    en.wikipedia.org Electromagnetism

    en.wikipedia.org/Electromagnetism

    absoluteastronomy.com Electromagnetism

    absoluteastronomy.com/Electromagnetism

Sometimes I think the ranking technique of google sucks! You can be on page #1 on day 1, #12 on day 2, and back to #3 on third day! I rather check word tracker for good word phrases! Because it Zero's in on targeted prospects!

the newer version does seem to move things around a bit in my niche, the search results i mean, though for the most part i gain in a few keyword areas and lose a bit of ground in some others.
it's a lot faster of course because there are no ads, and the traffic right now is relatively light...but really there isn't much human difference in results in .08 seconds and .13 secs.

it's interesting to hear what other people here think, and i am sure they will be tinkering with and improving it as time goes on

has anyone noticed there sites have been dropped (not removed) because of using text link buying services like TLA?
I had a really strange meeting (about offline marketing) today but everyone was going crazy because of this google update over the weekend.
site is dropped to like page 20+ from being on page1/2 ... but other sites within the company have held position.
we was trying to work out why and my client said that the site in questions buys links and maybe this is why?
has google got that clever that they now know who is selling them via the big media link sellers?
