In your opinion and experience...what works? What doesn't? I have had a lot of success using survey sites - but I cannot stress how important it is that you use more than one of these sites as it can take a while to reach one payment threshold - so there is a chance you will reach 5 or 6 around the same time (cashing in around £100). I want to try venturing out into new things, please share what it is you have had success with - and the best way to get into it.
There are many answers to this question, and not one is entirely correct. The most effective method is probably direct response (i.e. eMail marketing, to a list of prospects you have captured via some promotion, and who have voluntarily opted-in to receive information from you from time to time). This is best implemented in today's reality via niche-oriented blog sites where you've coupled valuable content with an opt-in form where the reader can subsequently obtain an eBook or a Newsletter from you for NOTHING but joining and confirming their membership in your mailing list. In the eBook or Newsletter, you then have the ongoing opportunity to promote premium content; either membership in a site for a recurring subscription each month or a series of products which you've either produced yourself or on which you've obtained Master Resale Rights or in which you represent the producer as an affiliate. These approaches work for many successful marketers, and some of them (Anik Singal) for one, (Jim Edwards) for another and of course (Ewen Chia) for the umpteenth time in as many years, have been so successful that their business are LEGENDARY in the affiliate marketing arena. The most important elements in all of this is research and testing and persistence. As someone once said, the longest journey still begins with a single step; so muster your talents, your desires, your passions and your determination and take action. You can't fail if you begin and persist. All the best Fred Holmes
I've tried Adsense. Made $100+ in a year of time. Not worth it if you don't have time to update site content
The way I got into internet marketing and the way I advise newbies to try now is affiliate marketing. It's a great way to learn the ropes and make a ton of cash. I was making around $6k a month just from affiliate marketing within the first 6 months. Check my link for some free training. Sean
At this point I pasted my email signature in the original post, which was a violation of the rules, which I misinterpreted, and I wish to post this apology to the members and guests who were offended. Thanks
Working works. A lot of people will just want to sit back and watch the money roll in. Some people can do this, the vast majority cannot though. I'm guessing no one has been able to at the beginning. Generally, people will pay if you have a unique skill and are willing to invest the time. If you're not willing to invest the time, you might as well quit now.
I am in the middle of an intense virtual classroom training by Dean Holland called the Starting With Marketing Academy and am posting updates of my findings on my blog. The class lays the basic building blocks for building an online business, covers the power of social media promotion and proven ways to generate traffic. There is a large group of Internet entrepreneurs who believe in "list-building", that is, putting together an opt-in list of interested customers that you can present your products and services to. Hope that helps, Ralph ___________________ http://ralph-altman.com
I would suggest testing out different internet marketing techniques and tactics. When you test things out, you can see what works best and what is not effective.
My experience is pretty starter since I only started. I only earned $100 thats from clicks and traffic mainly.
