Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I couldn't find an appropriate place for it. Mods feel free to move it. Anyway, I've had this website going for about 5 months or so. http://MyBombayCat.com In about a month I was ranked on the first page of Google for 90% of the keywords I was targetting. As a result, over the past 3 months I have received a steady stream of 120+ unique visitors a day. Anyway, this has not converted to anything worth mentioning in terms of money. I have Kontera, Adsense, and Clickbank areas on all of the pages. From the time this site started to today, Adsense has earned me $10, Kontera earned me $12, and Clickbank has earned me $0. So $22 in 5 months. I'm not exactly on the path to riches here. Any ideas on how I can convert 840 unique visitors a week to something in my pocket? Thanks.
have you tried image ads? Experiment w/ ad sizes, colors, location. You placed 3 tiny google ads in 1 box so their titles are not well-aligned.. maybe you should just use a bigger ad size instead.. Try placing a big horizontal ad in your footer.
Alright, I put some image ads up last night and I still made no revenue! WTF?! I'm kidding, lol. I know I need to have patience, parmod, I'm just wanting to get some ad systems up and running before I start with my patience...
Look around the adsense forum, there's a lot of good tips over there on how to get more revenue for your site, Hope you will find some good advice over there because your site really looks great,
I would advise you to put your ads somewhere on the top of your site - so that they get more attention when people visit your site. Also, I'm not sure if there are any affiliate programs for cats websites. Maybe some cats food?
I would reccommend going to CJ.com and setting up a publisher account, then do a search for pet related advertisers, there are quite a few actually, and getting pet related ads on the site. There is a huge market for pet related items online, tap into it.
Well I'm using amazon and clickbank for affiliate stuff. But its not doing well, so I'm not going to pursue that. I just wanted to report in less than 24 hours of image ads on the site I earned the most I ever did from adsense in that short of time, it may not be alot, but it proves that images do well.
