Google Penality ?

i don't know whether i was penalized by google. because i am not getting any traffic from google from 2 days. but i am getting traffic from google images in hundreds. what is happened ? can anybody explain please

2 days back ,i was at least in top 5 everyday for "best wallpapers 2009" keyword. but now i am not even in top 100. but there is no drop in Google image traffic. but there is a drop of 99% in regular search traffic

did you check to see if your placements are still on Google? I get a lot of traffic from images at times.

 

Google your url. If you're still indexed, you're not banned.

 

don't worry about that ,
your site will come back to its position in google and receive oraganic traffic from google,
all you need to do is to get more weighted backlinks to your site.

This happens -- even to sites that have been established for a long while. Sometimes they just disappear for no reason at all -- but it will come back. Don't worry about it too much. You may have been sandboxed -- have you done too much back linking lately? Or it's just likely that you're caught up in the Google dance. I had a site that vanished from search results for about two weeks -- couldn't figure out what was going wrong. And then it came back, only this time, stronger than ever. So try not to worry yet -- give it two weeks and see what happens.

 

I agree, it sounds like you are sandboxed temporarily, give it some time, you will come back. Just work on backlinks and quality links to your site and you will be OK.

 

Check that google has not banned you by typing you website name in and your site should show up.

I think this is just sandbox. New site often rank well in initial and lost the way after - because your high promote and too rapid link building

 

Couple of things, as someone mentioned to check if its banned just search for yoursite.com in google, if it appears, you're fine. If not, then you may have been penalized. This is often due to your method of link building. If your site does appear and you have dropped ranks then this may be due to the site being new, (is this the case?), often new sites experience a "honeymoon" period in which they rank well.

If you think it's down to due your link building method then scrap it, scrap any links which you may think are the culprits. Give it some time, log into Webmaster tools and get in touch with google via your panel and ask them to review your site.

ive got the same thing. i havnt received much traffic from google in the past 2 days. my traffic went down with 80%!! i hope my rankings come back soon.

btw im in a total different niche (food).

 

3 days ago Google traffic almost disappeared from one my web site (web directory, PR4).
But yesterday and now it is back again!
So, wait a couple of days, maybe you will have the same result.

This can be caused even by changing link structure on your web site by adding new content, and many other parameters that Google takes into account when determining SERP.

 

google always looking for something fresh in the content of a site.
