Also at time of give blood you can eat milk and cookies (not a black hat cookie stuffs! haha). So if you are almost die from recession then maybe give blood is good idea for get food.
You should donate blood, you're not just helping other but it can also clean your blood. It benefit both.
It depends on which country you are donating, if you are doing it in a first world country you should be save. In college we once all donated blood, nothing happend to anybody. I think you have a better chance to catch something in your daily live...
I agree with the above poster. Donating blood is much less dangerous than what we expose ourselves to in our daily lives. As long as you see them open the package containing the needle you will be safe
It is indeed safe to donate blood as long as you do it in reputable places like hospitals or the red cross. It also is good for the body since your body will then be replenishing the donated blood with new blood.
I heard the U.S. is outsourcing it's needle-packaging jobs to India, where some of the workers were caught dipping the needles in PURE HIV. They got most of the needles off the market though.
donate blood actually is not too vulnerable to infection, but it is the recipient of the blood of the vulnerable, this is in the process if there is a blood test negligent clinical testing, or in storage. the recipient is vulnerable to various diseases that is dangerous.
Scientifically, as long as you are a healthy person, it is not only safe but also can do good to one's health by donating blood appropriately. Of course, you have to choose a legal agency in case. However, I think for female, if you are not healthy enough, take care if you want to donate blood. Take myself for example. I voluntarily donated blood twice with 400cc each time. But after donation, my menstruation delayed for almost two months each time. I don't know why. So, ladies, take care for blood donation.
