User Generated Content site - what is best way to go?

Hey there,

I would like to start a niche site based on user generated content (reviews, experiences, recommendations) as well as some sort of provided content (blog, articles, etc.)

I am not a web designer but would hire someone to make the site for me.

It goes without saying, I would like to make the site very easy to use, especially because the demographic would contain a higher age bracket than the typical internet user.

Can anyone recommend a good model to start off with that, once in place, could be easily editable or scaled without a redesign? For instance, my busines site is Joomla and I like it due to the fact I can edit the content/graphics somewhat easily.

Hi Camus,

I'd recommend that you install a Wordpress blog on your niche website and work with that. There are a lot of great plug-ins, and if you like Joomla you'll almost certainly love Wordpress.

Are you thinking about turning it into a membership site? You can easily do that with Wordpress.

Yes Wordpress is the best you can also use Joomla.

Unique Contents can be generated within a little time. Search the information about it.

I would advise you to design it from scratch.
If you see another website then you'll tend to copy the design from their.

 

yes u can try word press.
There you can edit hole blog the way you want and it is also having cool plug ins which helps a lot

 

i'd say wordpress but there are plenty other good ones.
