Question about selling text link ads

When I sell a text link ad on my website, do I just simply post the link on my site or is there text link ad program I should go through?

If you have decent traffic best is selling it yourself.

Yeah, I agree with Mike, a good place to start are in the Link sales forums here. Get a feel for the prices and quality of links already being sold. If you have blog you can also check out sponsoredreviews.com if you willing to do a little writing. But you get to keep all your money if you do it yourself versus going through an agency.

 

agencies usually take too much, it isn't rare to see some 50% cuts!
A simple "your link here" link on your website can easily make you money if you get 100+ daily unique or so...

 

private selling may be more profitable, but trading sites give you an automation.
