Forum posting is a good way of link building...

u have to create a signature with ur website link after that when u will post any thing ur signature will go there also u can go for free web directories

 

You can use your signature at dofollow forum which provide PR and traffic to your site

 

I think link building through forum signature link is not so good. It is one kind of samp work as when ever you will make a post you will get a link. And I think google is not going to give that much value for those signature links. you can do little bit. But not in huge way. For link diversification it is good.

 

Yes. It's good if :

1. dofollow links
2. target keywords to get ranking
3. that forum is big and good

 

Links forum are accepted by google.

 

i dont think forum posting is going to help you much except getting your page indexed and some traffic , google pays minimum credit for such links

 

Best was is to put your links in your signature and don't spam the forums, or else your posts will be deleted and you effort wasted.

 

If you are posting in forums related to your actually website its very helpful. You get a backlink and you'll likely attract traffic from a very targeted audience.

 

I think forum posting is the best way for link building. specially, the signature link at dofollow forum.

 

i agree with dbinto, if you post in forums that are directly related to your website then you will get more targeted traffic to your website along with a valueble backlink

 

agreed, make so many usefull post, dont be spammer, because admin will delete your post. and if the signature is dofollow. it will be great!

 

Contrary to what everyone has been saying here. Forum links have very low value. Each of these pages have 60+ links an very low text to link ratio. Forum links are great for direct traffic though.

 

I agree they have very low value unless they are targeted to your niche.

And because forums don't have no follow in their user’s generated content very often.-if you start a thread yourself, you can control the title and much of the content of the page your link will sit on, thus ensuring relevancy in the eyes of the search engine.

 

to be honest using forum signatures for link building is largely ineffective (from my experience). it's good for traffic though, as long as you're in a related forum to where your links point.

so the moral is - do it, just don't rely on it to give you hundreds of quality backlinks
