New contents or new pages?

newbie here wanna know, it is better to add new contents to an old page or keep adding new pages just from SEO's point of view?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

 

I prefer add new pages, keep monitor the old page performance, make changing only when necessary

 

If you want to optimise your old pages for a particular keywords, you need to update it otherwise you can continue adding fresh content pages

 

I too agree with you. Updating old page can benefit more when compared to adding new pages, since it may take time for the new pages to get indexed by Search Engines.

 

Adding new pages with quality content is good for both Users and SEO point of view.

I believe it largely depends on the type of the site, if that's a company site then adding pages as the new products/services appear might be good. The "keep updating" maxim actually holds true only in certain cases.

 

Always better to add new pages... Each page on your site should be targetting different keyword phrases. The more pages you have, the more keyword phrases you can potentially rank for. With each page you get a whole new set of on-page SEO elements (<title>, <h1>, <h2>s, Content, etc.) to use to rank the page.

Also, adding new pages makes your site bigger. The more pages you have and the more links you have to pages other than your home page, the more of an authority your site will be seen as. And if you have a page that is already ranking well, it would be bad to go changing its content... simply build more links to it to get the rest of the way to #1.

 

New pages are better IMO and experience. New pages has always managed to get more traffic and SERP when compared to new content at the old pages.

 

Add content to new pages and have each page targeting a specific keyword.
