I didn't order Pepperoni Pizza, Hence, I should not have gotten burned by a Pepperoni.

Like I answered another thread earlier with a similar question...

    Sue? Yes.

Win? Only a psychic can tell you.

As someone mentioned earlier, an old lady sued McDonalds for a similar event,
but lots of people disagree she should've won. That eventually became known
as the Stella Awards for people who filed and won legal suits, but do not really
    deserve to win.

OTOH, why not try to politely complain to the pizza joint rather than sue? I do
realize it feels good wanting to do that, but you'll need a solicitor who's willing
to take your case and not possibly screw you out of it.

Not only does suing cost time and money, but it creates a lot of unnecessary
ill will among the people involved. Sometimes there are simpler ways to resolve
    problems without going to court.

Oh yes, it's for the so-called principle. But at the cost of making this world lot
more litigous than it already is, especially for relatively simple problems like this
    one?

Anyway, talk to a solicitor. That person's the only one who can really answer
your question if you really want to sue.

Beyond that, you'll get answers for what you asked. If you don't like a couple
of answers posted here, well...deal with it.

Actually you can sue. A guy sued Dunkin Donuts for burning his fingers when he tried to drink his coffee. He received lots of money and now every cup of coffee says (caution hot).

Anyone can sue, it is your rights. But prepare for the time and money that will be involve. Just feeling that you are making a mountain out of an ant hill.

You can sue, but the odds of going all the way are slim to none. Sure you may put the place out of business, but hey what's a few jobs compared to being happy about a small burn. Be happy it wasn't a fryer with grease that happened to be tipped.

If it is a fryer with grease, the OP may stand a better chance as with the hot coffee at Mac.

You can sue however there is a downfall on that. You have to pay a lot of money for your case and just image what you will get incase you win the case :)

I don't think you will get anywhere by suing the pizza place, since you would have to prove that the burn caused you some serious emotional or physical damage, such as not being able to work, etc.

If you talked to the manager, you might have gotten a free pizza or something, but I dont expect you will get more.

I would counter sue you for negligence.

And about the McD's lady, she won because McD's had been told several times during previous lawsuits (that they won, not the plaintiffs) to put notice on there.

Now, engage brain now. You sound like you probably are growing a pearl from all the sand in your vagina. Suck it up buttercup, next time you get something thats fresh out of the oven, you should probably wait a little longer. They cooked it in 7 minutes, you let it cool for 5 minutes, way to go. Common sense dictates that hot pizza is going to burn. What makes you think it wouldn't have burned your mouth should it have actually made it in?

Oh no, a pepperoni that wasn't supposed to be there :( Go change your tampon.

Maybe a free pizza or a refund would suffice, if you had of told them there and then, but because you didn't and there's no proof then that's out of the window. Suing them, haha, no I wouldn't say so... you should be able to tell if something is hot or not.

Good luck bro. But, I don't think you are having any chances of winning. Again, who knows? Everything is possible in US!

Think about it. Is a little bit of pain worth sueing a business and putting that family on the street. Would that give you satisfaction?

I find the whole concept of you doing this absolutely ridiculous if I'm being honest :p

It's just a small burn, get over it. It would be both a complete waste of time and money to do so, when it's pretty much your own fault for being careless. Of course it was going to be hot. You have no case in that. About the peperoni, you should have noticed it and contacted the pizza place yourself.

This really is taking matters to the extreme :p

I would say... pour some oil on your chin and face ... get a bigger burn and then say ... Pizza gus... I'm suing you!

But, seriously, where did you get the idea, that you can sue somebody for serving you a hot pizza or for a erroneous order?
Well, if you still sued that tiny place, and made some money, don't forget to give us al thread repliers a free service - SEO, good backlinks, bla bla bla....then we can sue you, because either SEO was not done properly or the backlinks didn't improve page rank bla bla again :p (j/k)
