What are the top 10 Article Submission sites?

Can anyone point me in the direction of the top 10 article submission sites? I have some articles I've been writing for my new site and I'd like to submit them, but I'm not sure of to many sites, let alone which ones are the "best".

Also, how do people normally make backlinks in their articles? Do they incorporate them in the actual articles, or in the "Author" type sections?

Is digg considered and article submission site? lol. I've used them to digg my posts in the past, but never for actually submitting articles. Interesting.

 

I don't know about a "Top Ten" but my personal top directories are Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Associated Content, and Buzzle.

Also, I was wondering, is it a bad idea to submit the same article to a few submission sites? Or should each site be a different article?

Personally, I've had good amount of traffic from ezine, articlebase, go articles, and searchwarp.

ezinearticles, goarticles, articledashboard and buzzle are more than enough if you submitting unique articles based on long tail keyword phrases for each directory. but if you want submit to hundreds of directories out there, then go with article submission services like submit your article or unique article wizard.

 

My top 3 are:

GoArticles.com ( my favorite )
ezinearticles.com ( I think the most powerful for SEO )
usfreeads.com ( although it may have fallen out of love with Google a bit, it's nice to write only short articles or "ads" )

I'm just using ezine articles since they are the best. If ever I am going to pass the same article to different article directories then I am sure that my article would just be rejected for duplicate content.

I found out about vox.com the other day. It is a PR8 site, so up there with the others. You set up a blog type deal and can post there.

I think all Article Directories which are providing Dofollow links are good enough. nut ofcourse top directories can give you extra traffic but not all time.
