    Hi

Hi guys i have started an online dating forum on our website about 6 months ago and it has already got 941 posts and 212 members and member barely ever post on it. we would be lucky to get at least 20 new posts a week and at the moment we are only getting about 10 posts at the max - which isn't good at all.

Hope you can give me good advice that will help increase the number of users and posts on the forum.

    1. Be active on your own forum
    2. Organize a contest.

Try to create a lot of backlinks to freeforum websites. A lot of members there will surely join your forum too.

I ran a forum for a while and contests always seem to work good. Send out an email to all the members advertising your contest and you'll get more traffic and posts.

You need more content/post to attract member, you might consider to hire some poster to make your forum active or implement some contests to make your forum hot

Forums are all about momentum. If you can't get an initial surge, then it's going to be hard to get off the ground. It's like any niche, you've gotta have reasons for people to post there. If there's another forum that's essentially the same, but is more active, then people are obviously going to post there instead.
