Project Overview: I need a logo designed that says "PeerTexts" for a website that is an eCommerce textbook store. Since the websites sells textbooks to students, they would somehow like this incorporated into their logo. ie: MySpace / Napster has headphones on their logo since they are music oriented. This website should someone incorporate a book or something to do with university / college if possible. Logo Tag line: 'Lend. Borrow. Save.' Preferably this should be located on the bottom right corner of the logo, however the designer could experiment with something else. The client is unsure if they want the name listed as "PeerTexts", "Peertexts", or "peertexts". For the purpose of the competition, it is fine to just make 1 version for your logo, but the final submission will need all 3. Design Style: The client really likes clean Web 2.0 logos and has provided some sample logos that they really like the style of (below). They would like the logo to be in 2 colours, and hopes the designer will use any 2 of these colours: Blue, Red, Purple, Orange, Light Black, Grays Sample Logos / Designs: Here are a few sample logos that the client really likes the design/style of (for reference purposes only): sample 1 sample 2 sample 3 sample 4 I am always open to designers thoughts and ideas, so feel free to "break the rules" if you think you have a good idea, but please do understand that logos of quality similar to the links provided are needed. okay here is my try. I used a book and kept the design simple and clean. I decided to put the slogan on the right as it suits the design it better in my opinion Here I put the slogan on the right as mentioned. here I put the text in bold Samir_Designs
TDGraphics - nice work, thanks for the revision, a lot easier to read now! you_love_me44 - nice colours, but I don't think the client will like the fade and the grafiti style logo. maybe you want to try a revision with a different font? umxca - great work! I think you achieved my specifications 100% samir_designs - thanks for the submissions, but I don't find the quality up to par with the samples that were provided. Fraz! - very nice. Do you think your could try another font for the peertexts part though? How it is right now, it looks a little too mixed up and unevenlly space. the colours, concept, and tag line are great though. Subesh this is just too simple. umxca - thanks for a second try. both submissions are great. my only suggestion is to break the books up a bit, it looks like 1 item right now. Maybe swap the orange and blue in the middle book?
