Hi all! I've started my own makeup / product review site. I'm doing a youtube video for each post – then writing a bit about the product on my website. Can anyone give me some tips and advice to get more views? I’m only getting 20 or so each video right now Thank you! xxx
Maximize your usage of tags! When you first publish your YouTube video you can enter 250 characters of tags. USE ALL 250 (or whatever # allowed) of characters w/ all related search words. After you publish, goto Edit on your videos section, goto the tags, and you can enter tons more. Max it out again for all obscure search terms you can think of.
Make a quality video - both in content and video resolution. Use only targeted keywords in the title, first and second sentence of the video description and targeted keywords in the tags. Getting more views takes time. The more subscribers you get, the more views you get.
1 > Make a quality video 2 > use a good title for your video 3 > good Description 4> use right Tags 5> please it to the Category do some social bookmarking for your video link, if you can then uplod your video to some more video site also if you want a good list then i will give you that also ...or just google it join some good groups , try to make your video viral soo you will get more views good luck Dinesh
You can search for releated videos and add some (good) comments there, also you should add some friends!
The only issue with tags is that Youtube will split phrases that have spaces in them, like "music video" will wind up being "music" and "video" - which could be a good or a bad thing. Has anyone experimented with dashes?
Post controversial comments and stir up a debate. Embed your video on relevant forums, social networks, and other video sites, such as Metacafe. Make sure all the videos on your channel are useful and interesting. People will then come back for more. It's amazing how much trouble some people will go to produce a dull video that no one wants to watch!
You can either contact officials in the media and fashion magazines.. But before that you need to have a good content that they will likely to promote on their websites, radio stations, tv shows or next magazine issue. Next, to promote on social media websites like digg, stumbleupon and twitter.. Third, put time limit on promoting the content. If it does not work. Let it be. Maybe sometime in the future someone will dig in and say: " Wow!! This is good. i should promote this". Setting time limit will put you into a stage where you choose the best ways in promoting your content.
Wow! These are some great tips guys! i Love it! i'll start adding more tags -- im not sure about "stiring up" on comments lol. I want to be liked not hated. Cheers again!
It depends upon your videos. Your viewers will easily be noticed if it has a good contents and if its interesting. I Agree with the above post... Consider them all then start promoting your video...
Thanks all -- still not doing too great. I would say my videos have good content - and are HD quality. So i do not think it is a problem with the videos. The content doesnt matter if people are not looking I'm adding lots of tags, and making sure the title is specific. I found out you cannot pick the thumbnail pick anymore with the inserting picture at 50% - that would have helped a lot i think. All i can think is that people are just not looking for my video topic. But some videos of the same topic get 1000's of views. I just need to get the subscribers to get the views lol. Do you think the time the videos are upload makes a differnce??? Thanks again for the help.
You should pay special attention to labelling your videos. There are several things you should know about labelling your videos: 'tags' are only the 3rd most important component in YouTube's search results. Words in the title are 1st, and words in the description are 2nd.
you could always buy youtube views, but you can also do lots of bookmarking Sign up for onlywire and then bookmark each of your videos 100's of times
You have to maximize your viral marketing efforts. Use Twitter, social bookmarking sites, and other modern viral marketing tools. Spread the word to your existing visitors of your website. Optimize the videos according to what other users here have suggested, especially the tips about the title, the description and the tags of the video.
Link juice is the key. Post your video on all the video sites you can. Then do a Google search for "dofollow bookmarking sites." Submit your site to all those you can, then join and post to dofollow forums (like this one) with the link to your video in the signature. Also, writing articles with the URL of the video in the resource box doesn't hurt either. These are all methods I use, and my videos usually stay on Google page 1. Hope this helps.
