Am I missing something or has the internet bubble burst

Firstly I am an amateur in more than one sense.
I have foolishly started a website www.webcanimals.eu in the hope that it would make me a mint, bearing in mind my site doesnt sell anything I assumed that I would make money through advertising and advertising needs traffic. If there were a list of things that you should do to ensure a smooth and profitable website in the adult industry then I have done it. Im googled up (no adwords) im tweeting like a sodding magpie and ive maximised my seo just like the man said. Ive told all my mates and im on a few niche specific forums but I just cant get no hits.
Am I missing something or has the internet bubble burst , is there room for dreams and overnight success in a monopoly controlled by PPC and social media or can I really develop and watch a website to grow to a huge size ?

My site is homemade and yes you can definetly tell and my domain cost 0.98gbp
so its not surprising im not in the green yet but will i ever be ?

The internet bubble is still big and strong, only it's filled with a lot more people these days than before, people affected by the recession. Luckily 99% of marketers will fail and quit and that leaves a lot left over for the ones who make it

It was never a bubble, some people made money most people didn't because some people worked hard while most thought it was easy money. Work hard and you will succeed. Gather information where you can, test it, apply it if it works. Just keep at it and keep learning, you will succeed.

the bubble hasn't busted, but you are working in an extremely competitive market. the same rules that apply for web sites in general also apply to adult. i would get some serious backlinks for starters and get listed in some directories. also add some content somewhere(descriptions,etc.). how are you ranked under your keyword searches(shouldn't be prime kw's like porn, webcam, etc.) suggest reading some internet marketing seo stuff. just some suggestions and you do have a nice site.

I think you first should read an SEO marketing guide or something. There are plenty of such guides free to find if you just try a little google search.

The bubbles bursting all the time. Just blow up a new one and go with it. Nothing stays around forever. Someone always builds a better mouse trap!

You are in a cutthroat niche - use the tools available and find some creative long tail keywords. I ran your site through the google tool and it presented several long tail keywords that have low competition.
