US destroyed it, US help restored it. Best on country interest to let US take over. I'm pretty sure if US didn't intervened on this war Japan would never be shine as she is right now.

It's a hard but true fact. The "A" bomb was a necessary evil to end a very bloody war.

Japan was ready to sacrifice everything, and everyone, to keep the invaders out of their land. Losses were estimated to be in the millions on both sides as the results of the final invasion by General McArthur.

Was it right to drop two instruments from hell to hopefully end an already bloody war? Probably not. But it was necessary.

However, there is a silver lining in almost every dark cloud. Look at Japan now. They are a giant amongst giants.

    My thoughts.

US didn't restore Japan after the war, it might have gave it a loan to rebuild. Before the war Japan was the number one in economy in Asia just as it is today.

Japanese are a very dedicated, hard working people. If Japanese were to be describes as animals..I would say they are ANTS. Take a look at the Ant colonies and look at how Japanese are, very similar in some ways.

Hiroshima was described as "an important army depot and port of embarkation in the middle of an urban industrial area. It is a good radar target and it is such a size that a large part of the city could be extensively damaged.
