Ok, with the fact that you can edit some Wikipedia pages and add reference links, has it proven to be helpful at all for your site's traffic?

very! If your links stick (you have good articles relating to that subject) they will bring tons of traffic. One of my websites gets about 1500-2000 unique visitors per month from a single Wikipedia page.

Wow ok...and I proved my point as well. Started to receive a few decent number of backlinks :p

At least my site is not about crap like "Make 1 billion dollars overnight".

It's great but it's hard to avoid your link getting removed.

Surely you can just post it again? And providing I offer a great 'reference' then surely it should stick ?

    Hi,

What is the Wikipedia page about? Do you promote the Wikipedia page to get 1500-2000 unique visitors?
    Thanks.

I have a couple of links in Wikipedia that are related to the page in question. They've been in there for years. They don't pull in thousands of hits but they seem to do fine for me.

Having a legit link that adds to the content of the article will usually be kept.

Wikipedia is very good for traffic but they are diligent about removing articles that are biased, its difficult to retain a link in Wikipedia.

It's very hard to get your link there though, or at least to stay there. But if you get one then it works really well :D

Its hard to get a link on Wikipedia, even harder to get it to stay on Wikipedia for any length of time - best of luck.
