Very true! And well put. However, the problem with that is many people post just for the sake of it, to increase their number count.
Honestly, now I don't care about my number of posts . I'm not lying. May be this is the reason why I've relatively few posts comparing to my joining date .

Once you've reached a particular point, you simply don't post any more. You turn into an observer rather than a poster. I've reached that stage. Quite happy with 6,000+ posts.
Are you referring to the number of posts here in DP? I don't care how many posts I have here but I care about numbers in general. Everything involves numbers in more ways than one.
I do care about it. It reminds me of how much time I wasted and all the things I could have done if I spent it on building content instead.
^^ i'm with that... I used to care about it when I used to sell links in my sig and other places but now I really don't care. I'd rather make good posts and contribute to a community than stupid one liners to increase my post count.
