    The one and only tip I can think of offhand is to try to do what you can for FREE!! Become a member of an affiliate program (promoting other peoples products). Quite often they will show you ways of promoting their products for free. Hope this 1 tip helps to start :eek:)

    There is so much free information available now, just scan some of the large marketing forums. Find one type of marketing that appeals to you and get started with it. Marketing affiliate products using article marketing is a great way to get started, but it takes consistent effort.

    One thing to be very careful of though, it is very easy to start buying product after product looking for the perfect thing to do. Find something to start with, learn to do it well, and then diversify your income streams and then learn to do something else.

    The first 3 things I do to market a new website is to ping it using pingler.com, use rss bot to distribute my feeds and bookmark them. I then give the urls to google, yahoo and msn. Then do a few other bits of promotion.
