Follow my simple and effective techniques step by step carefully. 1. The first technique is one that was ‘discovered’. When I read it originally, it made sense and I decided to give it a go, but I wasn’t prepared for the immediate impact it would have on my income. It involves making only a few simple changes to the format and positioning of your Adsense ads. 2. Forget about using banners or skyscrapers. Surfers universally ignore these ad formats. Why? Because we’ve all been conditioned to recognize a skyscraper or banner as an advert and as these adverts are rarely of any interest, we ignore them. What’s needed is a way of integrating Adsense ads into the editorial on your site as seamlessly as possible. To do this you need to do three things: 1 Use the 250 x 250 rectangle format. 2. Make the background color of the ad the same as the background color of your site, or as close to it as possible. 3.Make the ads border less by setting the border color to be the same as the background color of the ad. Logging into your Adsense account and creating a custom format can make these changes. Just select the 250 x 250 ad format, and create a custom color palette. Use the color picker to pick the color you want. The JavaScript is automatically generated at the footer of the page, copy and paste into the pages on your site.
thanks for sharing...but I don't agree with u about banners as banners at the top of page under site titles is very effective but just one banner....
well making the ads by google adsense ads look like your ads by contrasting the color is a cool idea.. but pal... skyscrappers and banners do help if you have used it elegantly.... the one thing that i learned in internet marketing is that no concept is useless.... and believe me this concept works
This 250x250 concept does work if utilized properly but its hard for some sites because of background colors just being just plain white. My leaderboards generate best CTR though.
Thanks for sharing, but my question is does the 250 x 250 rectangle format concept works? again its very hard to Make the background color of the ad the same as the background color of your site.
I think you have got the point. Whether it is square or rectangle, we need the visitors to click our ads knowingly and not by cheating. For this to happen, we should provide the visitors with some interesting contents and simultaneously hope google would display a related and interesting ad to the visitor next to it.
I think we need quality natural traffic which are intestes in topics of the site and in the process in ads. Size of the ads does matter but in the end the visitors interest is important here.
I tried the 300x250 rectangle with little success on a different template...been doing well with the top banner.
Oh I got here too late. He was banned for spouting off what just about every person using Adsense should already know. Personally I prefer to go with the 154X567X190x456 parallelogram ad units with the purple background. They've been killing it for me.
for sharing your opnion. Having similar web sites I have been looking for trends some time, the best result I got last month is from a combination of wide skyscrapers in combination with link units.
Thanks for the tip, that's what I thought too. The retangular small ads gives me the best click through rate compare to footer or skyscrapers.
so far we all agree that 250x250 improves higher CTR, but as we all agree it depends on the site background color and other things... For me The skyscrapper works good ...
