i am sure they are using a custom built script that places ads on randomly selected posts in a thread. and changes the position for a user with every refresh

u may have a look into vbulletin.org mods section, but then it could also be a custom mod.

a template edit wouldn't paste ads in random location methinks. i am almost certain it is a separate script

I don't mind the ads since it's free to join DP forum and post anywhere. Someone's got to pay the bills. Servers don't come cheap these days and DP's a HUGE forum that is continually growing. Just stay out of the section's that have ad's. lol

So you removed the ad revenue sharing system and put your own ads. Good move.

The ads within some of the forum posts has nothing to do with revenue sharing being there or not.

I had to keep checking to see if i got loged out cause thats the only time i have seen so many ads here!

They are annoying in my opinion
the one that displays in the 1st post is the one that bugs me!
if it didnt blend in so well it would be much better maybe use a lite border for em or sumthing!
I think the ads should not be in the content of the 1st post of threads that is usually the one that needs the most clarity

im sure there is a nice increase in revenue with the new placement and id say dp deserves it with all the madness you have to deal with
but i think it could be done with out affecting/interfering with the content

I also do not click on adsens ads in fear of getting banned not to save or keep money from any one its all about fear google is better at creating fear than the government :p
