Alternatives to domain parking

Lately, domainers from all over the world are trying to find reliable and affordable alternatives to domain parking. Something that allows them to increase their revenue, raise their domains value by being indexed by search engine and receiving more traffic. We, from Cubevisions Software, are interested in hearing what you think it's the best alternative to traditional domain parking. Feel free to discuss.

 

According to me domain parking is only good for 1 word domains which people would just try guessing say like laptops . people might type laptops.com to test if its a site . Other domains domain parking will only reduce the traffic slowly so its better to have some kind of site

 

I have seen this way which is in any case could be considered as alternative: if you have domain name you can place web site there develop and do some SEO and then you can place google adsense ads there and earn from them

 

Mini-sites seem to be the best solution, but not everyone knows how to create them, or have money to spend with mini-sites for all their portfolio. So, what would you guys do?

 

I have a few domains would be interested to the usual alternatives also I tried GoDaddy but think that there has to be better alternatives out there.

Domain parking are very good for domain typos for famous websites I can see a lot of traffic goes to Facebook and myspace typo domains and indeed they makes a good parking money

Alternative to domain parking is add those domain in your google adsense account .

 

having parked domains for a while, now i prefer alternative platforms like whypark or seoparking. i call them "active parking". there are several companies listed in my domainers directory in signature. anyway, i keep the best names for self made developing, as this provides more traffic.

I'd say develop it as a website. As it gains PR, Alexa Rank and Age, you can sell it for $100+ whereas you would most likely sell the domain for something below that range. It doesn't even have to be a good website - any one of those simple php scripts will do - you may even find one for free!

 

Best monetization strategy for a domain = Develop it.
Plain and simple. Anything else is just pebbles.
