I am maintaining 9 blogs and only 5 of them are for moneymaking - the other 4 are for personal use... Personal means I can put anything I want... All blogs have adsense and some affiliate offers.. 3 of 4 personal blogs are earning fair amount with adsense except for one... The one I am talking about is a blog about boxing (I'm hardcore boxing fan)... This blog has hundreds of youtube knockout videos. Though I am not promoting this blog is receiving around 500 unique visitors from google and different sites... but barely getting a single click from adsense! Im am planning to sell this blog but I don't think others will buy it.. ... What do you think am I gonna do with this blog? I love it but I hate thiking ot not earning even a single penny a day to pay its hosting... The traffic is overwhelming and quality but I don't understand why... its not making any dime...
You can try it out by selling them at DP BST section. Or you can sell the ads space at DP BST section too
You can always try to sell it.... you may find someone who will be able to monetize the traffic better
Without seeing the site, it is difficult to give good suggestions. Since you feel that Adsense isn't working for you, why not try something else? Adsense isn't the only game in town.) Also, the placement and type of Adsense Ads have a lot to do with getting people to click on them. Have you tested different ad types and placement? good luck! Zeek
Why don't you turn your website to a membership-based site? So your visitors will pay a small fee to watch video compilations, receive bonus materials, etc... If they are all interested in boxing you can form a club or something.
I wil say from my inexperieced point of view that you need to find valuable content that are persuasive enought to make people click it.
I am really thinking of the best possible solution to my problem. My boxing blog that contains hundreds of boxing knockout youtube videos is attracting more than 1k unique visitors per day but I can't think of any good way to monetize it. Adsense is not working good in such website because all visitors are focusing on watching videos and not on ads. My plan is to offer membership and asking visitors for a small membership fee in order to watch all available videos in my blog. 1k unique visitors per day from search engines is not a small traffic to ignore. Now my question is, is there anyway I can do this? To show videos to visitors but when they click this videos they need to register for a small amount (let say $1)? And let only full members to view all videos? This is a great help to me if this thing has solution... Thanks a lot.
Nope.. I gave up adsense on this site... I don't want to waste my 1k organic traffic per day mostly from UK and US.. this day alone my blog got more than 2 k fresh visitors from guardian.co.uk when one of it's authors posted one of my articles linking back to my blog... imagine if I have a membership feature.. even just 25% of today's visitors registered for $1 is already a big money... If wordpress does not have this option, I might use Vbulletin script...
Adsense should just be a secondary profit, not your main profit. You could try promoting products related to boxing and make money that way, or go with the idea of a membership. Or, you could sell your website to forums as many people are interested in traffic and not necessarily revenue.
Is 1k visitors a day for your boxing site more than the traffic to your other sites? If so, i would at least start out by creating banners and other promotional links to the more profitable pages on your other blogs, and see what happens? Maybe boxers would be interested in "xyz" at your other site?
I will jus advice you to keep trying, look for every possible means to get what you want out of it since you have the traffic. If you decide to sell it, the money you'll get may probably not the worth it.
