Rasmussen accurately predicted the outcome of the past two (or three?) Presidential elections. Fox, CNN, CBS etc. regularly quote Rasmussen. Do I really have to spend my time to pull up that report again that proved Rasmussen's reliability?

And I agree with you, I feel he will be assassinated too. There are many things going for that theory. One of which is his color. Another of which is his outright lies. Him saying he would fix things, but nothing is working. Spending more money. Spending some more. For shits and giggles, spending a little more.

I personally don't want to see this happen though. The country is not yet at a time where an uprising is necessary. We can still turn around and get back on a good track through elections. First thing to go needs to be the 2 party system. As in fact it is one party. If dumbama gets assassinated he will be seen as a martyr, and then we will have biden as president. Both of those are not a very favorable viewpoint for me.

Obama must do something fast to bring back the people's trust. I also have a question. Does Obama have an idea of what's happening in Pakistan? Can he give help to the Pakistani people? I have heard a news that the country is suffering from daily long hours of power outages.

 

WTF should we help the Pakis when they don't help us? They hide and harbor terrorists. What we need right now is a President content and focused upon DOMESTIC issues. How on earth can anyone anywhere else in the world expect us to fork over cash to help them when all we are going to do is borrow or print that cash?

 

The rest of the world is going to scream bloody murder when they find out that the US is going to pay them back with inflated dollars.

 

Check this out: Republican party at record low favorable rating.

Amazingly, the Republican party now has significantly lower favorable ratings compared to just prior to last year's elections (which as you may remember went very poorly for the Republicans.)

Last October: Republicans were at 46% favorable in this poll. Now? They are at 36%.

BTW: President Obama is at 62% favorable in this poll and the Democratic party is at 50% (that's a significant lead over the Republican party in a head to head match-up.)

Oh and.... This is a FOX NEWS poll. HA!

 

I think that there is a major disconnect between Washington & the media, and the people.

Right now, the information flowing from Washington is all about health care. And the media is focusing on health care. With a short diversion to get involved with Cambridge.

The People are going nuts over the economy. The stimulus hasn't done anything it promised to do. It's impossible to divert the attention of someone who is unemployed to anything other than employment. You can't make a man forget that he can't pay his bills.

It really sucks out there. I have friends, professionals, who had well-paid corporate careers for over 15 years that are now unemployed. Many of them are three months away from not being able to pay their mortgage without help. I'm lucky to be doing well and so I'm helping out friends, but I'm shocked at how many people I know that now depend on friends and family to survive. And Washington is busy playing out a comedy involving health care, an angry Cambridge professor, and a Supreme Court nominee. Meanwhile, the media is enamored over Katie Couric flirting with the President.

What the people are saying, and what Rasmussen reflects, is that cutsie news stories can't make a father or mother forget that they can't feed their kids.

What do you expect when they (the republicans) run on a platform of cards like family values, yet keep getting caught with their pants down. Republican affairs are popping up faster than zits on a 13 year old.

If they would get off of the moral high horse and get back to legislating and running the country like we elected them to, they might gain some respect again.

I don't need a politician as my moral guide, I have clergy for that. I need my representatives to do what is best for the entire country, not just those that believe the way they do.

Can you imagine the uproar if Muslims in America started fighting to legislate their beliefs into law ? Other Americans would lose their minds and start yelling that government is no place for religious favoritism. (unless of course it's Christian).

Any politician that has to use his religion as a platform to run for an office that has nothing to do with religion, is the same as someone trying to get into a night club by name dropping. Weak.
