Ajax is very easy to learn if you already know javascript/DHTML

    Go to w3schools

Yeah, Ajax is cool and so on, but don't forget that many users have JavaScript turned off.

I don't like all those Flash/Ajax/SilverLight, the user must be 100% sure he'll be able to see the site correctly.

That's why you use a <noscript> tag, if there is no JavaScript, then just advise they turn it on.

... and I think "few" is a better perspective of how many netizens have JavaScript turned off.

Not like I'm trying to personally attack you or anything.. but again I disagree with this. AJAX should be used to enhance the user experience, and shouldn't be relied upon. And you'll notice that all the big sites that use AJAX put this into practice. Asking people to turn on JS just to use your application is probably pointless anyway, due to the fact that it's on by default in most cases, and that it is probably off for a good reason.

It's already been said, but AJAX is a snap with jQuery. I can't stand to work with javascript without using it.

I've been using this for a while now to do ajax

it's that easy. Btw, code came from http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/x-ajaxjquery.html -- which is a great intro to jQuery.

Your reasoning behind your 'personal attack' doesn't even make sense. I suggested using <noscript> not that using AJAX to enhance anything, you fool.

Most people don't turn it off anyway.
