Im looking at raising my SEO profile, and am wondering what route to take. Would you hire a SE expert of here to do keyword placements, or is there a service that sort of covers everything for new websites? Making sure its meta tagged correctly, doing SEO submissions (though not directories or engines as i have alot of those already) Just wondering what options there are, need someone in the know to provide a service, but aint sure which one is best for a new site, have tried paying for SE submissions, directory submissions, would never pay for paid traffic as i see it being pointless, but hoping theres some more options... am obviously looking in the buy/sell forum for anything that might pop up
I would do all my SEO work myself. I have found SEO and backlink building the hardest to outsource. All the free lancers that I have worked with half-ass these things so its not worth it. Although there might be a couple good services out there - but you can bet they will cost you a lot of money.
Learn the Basics first and dont forget and hesitate to asked questions if you feel confused on a certain things.. And believe in your self that there's always a progress..
I would do it yourself! There is so much information and help that you can get along the way. When you don't know something just ask... This way you can get things done they way you want them!
Im not sure on how to improve certain things like page rank, appearing higher in Google for my keywords etc, I do read alot on the forums to try and learn, though thought it might be better to get someone who does it for a living. Am always happy to learn though
Read, read and read some more. Read until your eyes bleed and your head feels like it going to explode, and then read some more. Visit some of the big SEO blogs and forums, sign up on those forums and post questions. To really understand "how" and "why" sites rank where they do, you need a good understanding of basic search engine optimization. And the best way to do it is to do it yourself.
I agree that you should definitely learn as much as possible, to the point where you really know what you're doing. That way whether you do it yourself or outsource the work, you'll know enough about what's going on to always make the most informed decisions.
I understand that and I agree but in the meantime think getting some help cant be a bad thing, theres always people that know more, and thats what Im after, someone who can raise my SEO profile My site is 5 weeks old, and im ranked 1.79million in alexa, would like to get PR, and increase my profile
