But worst still, I've not even used his service once! Not for upload and download. The day I received my account, the space was 98% filled. I didn't even use 1 byte at all! So I couldn't justify for the speeds. But like you said, the speed doesn't live as to the speed his mentioned.

I tried downloading the torrent from my private tracker. But the version he's using now is blocked. I don't blame him on this though. Funny thing is if he doesn't do refund, he could at the very LEAST REPLY my PM.

It's not that hard. And now, I really don't want to label him as person who oversells but he should take the initiative to please his current customers rather than recruiting new ones and screw everything up.

George, I know that you're reading this. The only reason I bought an account for you is for my private tracker. But now my private tracker has blocked the version you're using now, I hope to at least get to use RAPIDLEECH. If that's not possible, please REFUND my money.

Its now time for me to give an honset review of this service.

Now I could well be wrong about this, but it appears that he *may* well have now disappeared.

His website, georgehost.info is now down, not able to be found. The data on whois for the domain is protected, so you do not know exactly who the registrant is.

As others have said the drive space is pathetic. It is currently down to 770meg free.

We were promised the 50gigs for the lowest entry on signup.

George did say that he had purchased a new server which would be 10 times as fast. We were asked to reply if we wanted to move.

That was on the 20th July.

On the 22nd July we were advised that the new server would be ready tomorrow.

Still waiting for it, and have seen no sign of George online for the past few days.

As the website is unreachable, this is the only forum that I know of how else to contact him.

He may well have had or still has the intention of honoring the contract, but it makes it really hard to believe that when his website, which is the billing system has gone down.

He also said that he would give everyone on the server that I am on three weeks free seedbox.

Now at this stage we can still log into the seedbox, but we are NOT getting the speeds we should, and running out of drive space is apauling.

Also to people who think that paypal gives back money to people, they DO NOT. Been down that track with another seedbox company who effectively took my money, and when I complained they deleted my account and refuesed a refund, and two seperate people at paypal say that they do not investigate it if its a SERVICE. They only really care about e-bay (which surpriseingly they own).

you guys should keep one thing in view always what ever company "DC" offers servers with unlimited traffic doesn't want any high bandwidth usage application to run on their servers, second point as soon as they realize that they are torrent based usage they strictly either suspend box or cap the port

I thought offshoreguy discontinued seedboxes, I was with them, their service was good, but just when i started their whole germany network went down.

 

For a start,

George Lopez is massively overselling his service and that is why his customers are running into HDD space issues and speed issues. His prices are very unsustainable.

I think it's best to move on and find a new provider.

 

I agree it started off ok, but now not so good.

He's a bloody cheater. I haven't even used his service. Is there anyway to dispute? I think if most of us will be willing to dispute through paypal, maybe, just maybe paypal will take action against this big douche bag and refund our money.

Doesn't matter if the server is back up. He's a bloody scammer and won't ever, ever get my trust back.

 

The server may be up, but a lot of the people that he was overselling to never got ftp set up. Or even their logins.

I was his first customer on the seedbox and he still hasn't setup the stuff he promoted in his package. He promised a lot of services, which as I stated before aren't true. Rapidleech / wget is non functional and speeds are capped at 32mbps overall.

 

I too paid a person by the name of Jake Powell.

The only way to try for a refund is to contact your credit card company.

Paypal will do absolutely nothing as it is not a product purchased on e-bay, but a service.

 

don't think of that ,once i did same paypal limited my account said "issues to be settled by complaining paypal not by stopping amount by contacting card company"
