    Hello all

Which is the best and most reliable WordPress blog hosting service provider? And cheap too.

    Thanks

Wordpress doesn't require any big server requirements.

All the web hosts meet those requirements now a days.

you can get a free web hosting for the 'freebies section' or a cheap paid hosting from the 'web hosting section'.

    Regards

@sandeepdude: I have tried a lot of those "free" hosts! They are not reliable. They usually have to close down.

You can find low price web hosting as well such as $1/month or something like that. And btw there is no need for any special hosting for wp blog.

    DON.

Then just open a thread in the web hosting section specifying your budget and required disc space etc...

You will get tons of nice web hosting offers.
But before you buy, just see the reputation and the itrader points the seller has got to ensure reliability... :)

    Sandeep

Nearlyfreespeech.net offers hosting priced on what you actually use. For a low-traffic site, I averaged $1.50/month, there, and it was very reliable. Customer service was responsive, too. WP worked fine. Drawbacks included lack of a file manager (files had to be uploaded/CHMODded via FTP/SSH) and lack of cron. The later may have changed since I left.

Which is usually why "Cheap" and "Best" aren't used together much. As was said, pretty much any host is good for wordpress, you don't need a special one.
More importantly is finding one that has good service, and is reliable.

Personally, I use Web Air, but you probably don't want to spend that much. Wordpress.org has a couple of hosts that they recommend on their site, including Hostgator. Why not check there first ?

It is true that you get what you pay for. Have you tried any paid hosts in the past? If so which ones and what went wrong?

I am using Hostgator and Just Host for my 2 WP blogs and I am satisfied with their services and customer support. Moreover these are not very costly and you can get hosting plan for about $4 to $5 per month. Just host also gives free domain with their hosting.

Try HostGator, their support is awesome, they will certainly help you out if you're new to cpanel and their system. I've been with them for over 2 years now and am so happy ;) ! No downtime and a problem is always fixed within a few minutes using the live chat support they provide. Btw, they're also really cheap...

I highly recommend future hosting. They have been my hosting provider for over 2 years, and I am very happy with their service and support. Future hosting specializes in VPSs and dedicated servers. So they are used to dealing with heavy traffic sites.

Well, I am not sure what you mean with cheap but Bluehost is my choice. If your intention is to use Wordpress they have both Fantastico and Simple Scripts for installing wordpress on your diffent sites. The support is awesome and they have always helped me out really quickly when I have managed to screw up somehting on the web server.
