He's holding the contest, he has the right to criticize the designs (maybe in a politer manner but hey). If he's holding a contest for the logo it's because he thinks someone could do it better than himself. It's really unprofessional to compare your work to what the client himself has done: it's like being a plumber and saying "Hey well your pipe's still leaking but you couldn't have done any better". It's not just the designers' faults though, there are plenty of people on here who would pick a bad design over a good one, I have seen it in plenty of contests. They may as well try their luck. Anyway, I don't think offensive remarks were necessary.
Th point is can't be compared to the plumber one. He is just stating the point that, the CH can participate for contest with not much attractive designs. But other should not participate in a contest just because it is held by him. I think this thread should have been closed by now.
To the idiot with no life that must have gone through ten pages of my message history to pull up that old contest - please note that, whatever you may think about my entry, I happened to win that particular contest. Epic fail on your account I think.. Anyway, you're failed attempt at making a point is pathetic. I've already said that I'm a Photoshop amateur, hence why I'm hosting a contest for $50 (more than the prize for the contest that I entered in above). And Graffworld2, you wanna show us some of your work? Only thing I can find is some asinine, waste-of-everyones-time YouTube videos. Douchebag.
Internet dramaaa! Honestly, if I designed something and the contest holder said my design was rubbish, sh*** or otherwise. It's life, stuff happens, get used to it. Toughen up. Even if someone's a jackass to you doesn't mean that you should be intimidated or offended by it. We're all sitting behind our little keyboards staring into an electronic screen. Oh no. It's the end of the world.
