i agree with you also... ever seens i dont used wordpress... i go around here, many members told that wp is the best but wen i reasearch about wp... wp, i only for blogs... and easy to cuztomize.....

so joomla is still the best in terms of website..... and more advanced than wp... But this two: wp n joomla has their own functions and it depends how you used it...

but for me.. JOOMLA is still the best...

For Blogging Word Press is Best

For flipping I would have to ask what kind of sites you want to flip. Content heavy or feature heavy. NO matter what anyone on here says Joomla can integrate much more power into a site quicker. You can drop a paid directory into joomla with a plugin, complete with voting and sponsored links built right in, You can snap in a fairly robust Social network , forums into the site (not just link into it)

I work with Wordpress and love it but can you do this with Wordpress

    http://demo.templateplazza.net/?template=comuna3_jomsocial
    or this?
    http://demo.templateplazza.net/?template=jobs_plazza

You can get both those up under an hour by joining a template club.

NOw the beast is customizing it after the intial plugin installation. There I will take Wordpress but they are apples and oranges.

Wordpress definately as it is easy to use and quite powerful. I have found that Joomla and most other CMS systems are too overly complicated and have alot of features that you wont/dont use. So wordpress is just alot easier for me to use personally

Get a good web host. Most decent hosts have automatic installers including Joomla. Coupl points to click and fill in a couple text boxes and you are done with installation

From a designer's point of view, WP is super easy to use and design and I have designed everything from personal websites to blogs to corporate websites using WP. I used Joomla and Drupal before I switched to WP and they are a headache and takes way too much time to do anything with them.

It depends on what type of website do you want to build.
I think WP does the job for most websites types, however for bigger / corporate websites Joomla would be preferred.

I think it is better to use wordpress for website flipping.
Wordpress is much easyer to use and I think more people using wordpress than joomla so you will have more potential customers.
I'm using both wp and joomla and I personaly think both of this free cms are great.
